Chef's Choice Awards
Over the past three months, we launched an exciting Chef competition, encouraging our teams to nominate their peers and unleash their culinary creativity in a friendly race to the top. With the promise of fantastic prizes, each venue fought hard to secure their place as a winner, but it was the team at Scotts Largs who came out victorious followed closely by the team at Scotts in South Queensferry!
In addition to our team competition, we also celebrated the individual talent, skills and dedication within our culinary teams. With 8 fantastic prizes up for grabs, our teams nominated their peers who they felt deserved to take the crown, let’s meet our winners…

Brian - Sous Chef at Scotts Port Edgar
With a wealth of culinary knowledge, Brian earned a generous cash prize and the title of our "All-Knowing Fountain of Knowledge." His expertise and willingness to share insights have proven invaluable to the entire team.

Steven - Sous Chef at Vic's & The Vine
Steven's remarkable talent for crafting specials won him a generous cash prize. His creativity and attention to detail have undoubtedly enhanced our dining experiences here at Buzzworks.

Ryan - Chef de Partie at The Bridge Inn
Ryan's dedication and skill as a chef earned him the coveted title of "Chef of the East." As a reward, he received an additional two days of well-deserved holiday to relax and rejuvenate.

Brian - Head Chef at Lido Troon
Brian's impressive vocal skills demonstrated during his shifts has earned him tickets to his favourite show! Not only does he keep his team at Lido entertained, but he has shown his talent stretches far beyond the kitchen!

Jennifer - Chef de Partie at Vic's & The Vine
Jennifer's initiative and commitment to learning earned her a premium meal experience. Her eagerness to grow sets an example for aspiring chefs.

James - Kitchen Porter at Scotts Largs
Recognizing the unsung heroes in our kitchens, James was named the most outstanding kitchen porter throughout the business. For his exceptional efforts, he was rewarded with a cash prize - a testament to his hard work and dedication.

Rory - Jr Sous Chef at Vic's & The Vine
Rory's commitment to maintaining the tidiest section during demanding shifts earned him personalized chef whites. His attention to detail and organizational skills are key to the smooth running of our kitchen over at Vic’s & The Vine.

Andy - Sous Chef at Scotts Largs
Andy's exceptional skills and dedication to his craft earned him the title of "Chef of the West" as well as two additional days holiday. His commitment and passion for not only culinary excellence but also the people in his team are truly commendable.
