THE ROLE:
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest and good knowledge of plants and a willingness to learn. You must be able to work independently and have good attention to detail. Duties include the maintenance of both indoor and outdoor plants, the sourcing and purchasing of plants, twice yearly seasonal planting, planting for venue refurbishments and new venue openings and the changing of plants as required. Covering our East Coast venues travel is an important part of the role therefore a clean driving licence and own car is essential (mileage allowance is provided).
DUTIES – PLANT SPECIALIST
- Indoor and outdoor plant maintenance at all venue
- Watering
- Deadheading
- Weeding
- Pruning
- Design of planting schemes
- Pest Control
- Purchasing of plants
- Purchasing of pest control items
- Purchasing of pots and compost
- Replanting outdoor during spring and autumn and also as required
- Design and planting for new venues and refurbishments
- Changing indoor plants as required
- KEY SKILLS – PLANTS
- Good plant knowledge
- Pest Control knowledge
- Planting and garden design skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly and accurately
- Driving License Essential
