Your Journey
Kitchen Porter
As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll be tasked with maintaining kitchen standards, supporting the full kitchen team with basic preparation and all cleaning tasks, while mastering your organisational skills. There is also the option to attend our bespoke 4-week Introduction to Becoming a Chef course.
Kitchen Assistant
Take your first steps in the industry as a Kitchen Assistant, learning the essentials and gaining valuable kitchen experience – with the additional option of gaining your Introduction to Professional Cookery SVQ Level 5.
Commis Chef
As Commis Chef you’ll learn how to carry out essential functions of the various sections in a kitchen, supporting the kitchen team to deliver high standards during service periods. Not only will you be tasked with maintaining compliance, hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen, but you’ll also be introduced to preparing and presenting our dishes to meet service standards.
Chef de Partie
Overseeing two sections of the kitchen, our Chefs de Partie have a thorough understanding of how our kitchens operate. You'll learn how to prepare, cook, and present all dishes to meet our high service standards.
Junior Sous Chef
In becoming a Junior Sous Chef, you’ll find your voice as a manager, honing your communication skills to manage 3-4 sections in our kitchen and serving as a team mentor for developing chefs.
Sous Chef
A senior role capable of managing most sections within the kitchen, the Sous Chef supports the Head Chef and assumes full responsibility for the team in their absence. Going beyond the kitchen, this role requires both leadership and creativity, as our Sous Chefs contribute to menu development and ideas for weekly specials.
Head Chef
With overall responsibility for our kitchen teams, Head Chefs drive the day-to-day operation, building and nurturing a supportive culture within the kitchen. As well as leading and developing the teams and motivating aspiring chefs, Head Chefs oversee dish creation in line with the respective venue brands – so an eye for the latest food trends, suppliers and creative dishes is paramount.
