We asked our Chefs to tell us about their favourite meal over the festive period…
From Neil’s Turkey Thai Green Curry Fried Rice to Craig’s Family Glazed Ham Cook Off, we were not disappointed!
Other honourable mentions include Slow Roast Prime Rib, Duck Confit and Potted Pork…
Laurent – Executive Head Chef:
Current trends are seeing a shift from the traditional Turkey dishes at Christmas time, personally I enjoy Smoked Salmon and Oysters for starter – one of my favourite French dishes – followed by Roast Lamb and Cocoa Beans.
Neil – Chef Trainer:
Chicken Thai Green Curry Fried Rice is always a year-round classic, however, by swapping the Chicken with leftover Turkey makes this a quick and easy festive favourite of mine.
Mark – Head Chef at The Coach House:
I’m all about classic comfort foods, cheesy beans on toast topped with a fried egg will never let me down.
Darran – Chef De Partie at The Coach House:
It’s got to be mince pie, chips and beans. Made even better when you mix it all together!
Steven – Sous Chef at Vics & The Vine
Nothing beats a Christmas Sandwich filled with all the best leftovers – Turkey Trimmings, Pigs in Blankets, Stuffing and Gravy bread!
Craig – Operational Head Chef
Every Christmas I look forward to my wife and father in law’s ‘Annual Roast Ham Competition!’. They both make a Glazed Christmas Spiced Roast Ham complete with a blind taste test which is always great fun to judge.
